Polyolefin Film Thickness

Indicates the thickness of polyolefin pof shrink film, usually in the range of 10 to 30 microns, which is also the thickness that can be processed by the blown film. The thicker the film, the stronger it is, and can pack heavier items. The thiner the film, the longer the length of each roll, and can pack more items. Standard thickness: 9 microns, 10 microns, 11 microns, 12 microns, 15 microns, 19 microns, 25 microns, 30 microns, 50 microns.

Film Roll Length

The polyolefin shrink film’s length means how long a film roll. Its direction also refers to the machine direction of the film. Usually, each film thickness corresponds to a standard film length. In this way, more film materials can be loaded per unit volume. Reduce shipping costs.

Film Roll Width

The polyolefin shrink film’s width refers to the dimension of the film roll in the transverse direction. It means the direction which is parallel to the roll tube. Available in width ranging from 150mm to 1600mm (centerfold films), or 150mm to 3200mm (singlewound films).

Preferred Film Roll Width is:
(item width + item height) x 1.3
For example, you plan to use centerfold polyolefin shrink film to pack an item with a width of 180mm and a height of 20mm. So the film roll width will be (180 + 20) x 1.3 = 260mm.

What is Singlewound Film?

The film is flat, unfolded on its roll.

Single Wound Shrink Film Width Formula

Preferred Film Roll Width is:
(item width + item height) x 1.3 x 2
For example, you plan to use singlewound polyolefin shrink film to pack an item with a width of 110mm and height of 70mm. So the film roll width will be (110 + 70) x 1.3 x 2 = 468mm.
